MORE FASHION EVENTS ARE CALLED OFF DUE TO COVID-19

Postponed or cancelled is the announcement which is being made by a number of fashion events organizers to their clients. 

For the first time in history more than six Africa’s international fashion events ,have confirmed cancellation and postponement of their shows. 

The announcement comes at a time when the world is battling with the COVID-19 virus. 

Which is rapidly spreading across the globe. 

Resulting in some countries closing their borders, and also restricting their citizens not to travel to countries that have more high risks of infection . 

Many believe this will cause a number of downfall when it comes to the fashion industry’s economy. 

As the events have been used by many as an opportunity to mingle and network. 

Some of the fashion events in Africa that have already postponed or cancelled their hosting include:Accra Fashion Week,Nairobi fashion Week,COKQ Fashion Week, Mpumalanga fashion and Design Week,Fashion Without borders Botswana etc. 

Its believed that many fashion events are yet to be postponed. 

Asmeasures have also been placed in a number of countries to restrict,gathers and the number of people in events.
